Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care in Lanham, MD is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our in-home team serving the Bowie, MD area. You will provide personalized care and support to clients in their homes, helping with daily activities and promoting independence.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; experience in caregiving is required. CPR/First Aid is a plus, and you’ll work with a supportive team that values caregivers.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving, home health aide (HHA), or personal care aide (PCA) experience required.
• Genuine compassion, patience, and a client-centered approach to care.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans with minimal supervision.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure client safety
• Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors
• Provide medication reminders and assist with prescribed care plans
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, or social activities as needed
