Job summary

Village Caregiving - Green Bay is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients at home. You will help with medications, mobility, personal care and light housekeeping, while coordinating with family and medical professionals to maintain comfort and safety.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and a commitment to health and safety standards. Strong communication and time management are essential in this role.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or during outings.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support client in physical therapy and prescribed exercises.
• Shop for clients or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed.
• Collect information from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family.
• Report unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
