Job summary

A Place at Home Encinitas is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide dedicated 1:1 in-home care across North County San Diego. You will support seniors and adults with disabilities with daily activities, companionship, and safety, delivering consistent care in client homes.

The role emphasizes reliability, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help others, with opportunities for career growth through our leadership program.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual caregiver who communicates well and works as part of a team.
• Proven ability to balance compassion with professionalism in senior care.
• Must have or be willing to obtain CNA/HHA/Medical Assistant credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care and companionship for clients.
• Assist with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, toileting, and hygiene.
• Maintain client safety and dignity; report changes to the office.

Schedule Requirements:

Monday / Wednesday / Friday (all 3 days highly preferred)

• Morning (6:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
• Afternoon (12:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
• Evening (4:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

• Morning (6:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

• One (1) Overnight Shift per Week (11:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide 1:1 care to clients throughout North County San Diego, including Vista, Escondido, San Marcos, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and La Jolla. You must be willing to work in these areas and able to reliably commute to client homes within 45 minutes or less. What You’ll Do

• Provide one-on-one care, companionship, and support for seniors, veterans, and adults with disabilities
• Assist with ADLs — bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, toileting, hygiene, and more
• Maintain client safety and dignity with professionalism
• Observe and report changes in condition to the office team
• Represent A Place at Home – Encinitas with compassion, reliability, and respect

What We’re Looking For

• You are a Caregiver, licensed CNA, HHA, or Medical Assistant
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must pass drug screen, background check, and employment verification

Schedule

• Part-time and full-time available
• Day, evening, and overnight shifts
• Weekday and weekend options

Location

Encinitas, Carlsbad, and the surrounding North County areas

Pay

• NOC shifts offer a higher hourly rate and a monthly attendance bonus.
• For all caregivers, the starting hourly rate is $19, with increases based on client complexity and caregiver experience.
