Job summary

A Place at Home – Encinitas is hiring In-Home Caregivers to provide one-on-one care to seniors and adults with disabilities across North County San Diego, including Vista, Escondido, and Oceanside. You’ll travel to client homes within a 45-minute radius and support daily living activities with compassion and professionalism.

This role offers part-time or full-time schedules, weekday/weekend options, and a path to leadership through our care management track.

Qualifications

• Dependable and punctual with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to drive to client homes within a 45 minute radius.
• Pass drug screen, background check, and employment verification.
• Caregiver license or certification: CNA, HHA, or MA if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care, companionship, and support for seniors and adults with disabilities.
• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, toileting, hygiene.
• Maintain client safety and dignity with professionalism.
• Observe and report changes in condition to the office team.
• Represent A Place at Home – Encinitas with compassion and respect.

Schedule Requirements:

Monday / Wednesday / Friday (all 3 days highly preferred)

• Morning (6:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
• Afternoon (12:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
• Evening (4:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

Tuesday / Thursday (both days highly preferred)

• Morning (6:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
• Afternoon (12:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
• Evening (4:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

Saturday / Sunday (both days highly preferred)

• Morning (6:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
• Afternoon (12:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
• Evening (4:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

Overnight Commitment

• One (1) Overnight Shift per Week (11:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide 1:1 care to clients throughout North County San Diego, including Vista, Escondido, San Marcos, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and La Jolla. You must be willing to work in these areas and able to reliably commute to client homes within 45 minutes or less. What We’re Looking For

• You are a Caregiver, licensed CNA, HHA, or Medical Assistant

• Part-time and full-time available
• Day, evening, and overnight shifts

Pay

• NOC shifts offer a higher hourly rate and a monthly attendance bonus.
• For all caregivers, the starting hourly rate is $19, with increases based on client complexity and caregiver experience.
