Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living in Las Vegas, NV is hiring for a full-time caregiver. Shifts include day, evening, and night options; weekend availability is required. Duties cover daily living activities, emotional support, light housekeeping, and health monitoring to ensure resident safety and comfort.

Competitive hourly wage is $14–$16 per hour depending on experience. Benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Personal Hygiene: Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance: Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
• Meal Preparation: Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food, and removing trays.
• Emotional Support and Companionship: Providing empathy, listening, and social interaction.
• Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry.
• Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy: Observing residents for changes in health and reporting concerns.
• Other duties: Answer resident calls for assistance, maintain confidentiality, orientation of new residents and staff.

Responsibilities

Description

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, including assisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Requirements

• Personal Hygiene: Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance: Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
• Meal Preparation: Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.

Emotional Support and Companionship

• Providing Emotional Support: Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.
• Companionship: Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.
• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
