Job summary

Avamere is hiring a caregiver in Las Vegas. The role includes assisting residents with daily activities, providing emotional support, and helping with housekeeping and safety tasks. Shifts include day, evening, and overnight; weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

Shift: Day shift (6am-2pm) ; Evening shift (2pm-10pm); NOC (10pm-6am)

Various schedules available, weekend availability needed
Wage: $14-$16/hr DOE

Location: Avamere at Cheyenne - 6031 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89108

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, includingassisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Personal Hygiene:Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance:Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
• Meal Preparation:Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.

Emotional Support and Companionship:

• Providing Emotional Support:Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.
• Companionship:Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy:

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.
• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
