Job summary

Visiting Angels in York is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our home care team. This part-time position offers up to full-time hours with a 3 pm–11 pm shift, providing non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors in their homes.

Benefits include a $500 sign-on bonus, weekend wage premiums where eligible, and a range of competitive starting pay. A CNA is preferred but not required; background and drug screenings are required.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old required.
• 1 year of professional caregiving experience preferred.
• CNA license preferred but not required.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of current auto insurance.
• Candidate must be dependable and display a positive attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors at home.
• Issue medication reminders.
• Conduct household errands and provide transportation to doctor appointments.
• Personal care and hygiene assistance; including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
• Provide mobility assistance; such as assisting with walking and transfers.
