Job summary

Colonnades Assisted Living Center in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities for residents in a supportive environment. You will help with bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, medication reminders, and documentation while upholding resident dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or healthcare preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Must pass background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and eating.

• Assist with medication reminders in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to supervisory staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and follow established care plans.
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and special dietary needs as directed.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry tasks related to resident care.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and respectful living environment for all residents.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and emergency situations.
• Collaborate with coworkers, nurses, and leadership to promote resident well-being.
