Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide routine care and support for residents in a long-term or rehabilitative setting. The role runs on a 2pm–10pm shift in a rotating schedule of 4 days on, 2 off.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, reporting observations, and helping maintain care plans, safety, and cleanliness. Candidates should be able to communicate in English and have or pursue CNA certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent is required.
• Previous Nursing Assistant experience or student nurse preferred.
• Completion of certification program for Nursing Assistants preferred.
• Experience working with the elderly is desirable.
• Must be able to read, speak and write the English language.
• Must be certified in CPR, first aid training and documentation of Personal Hygiene training with nurse instructor.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in daily routines and personal care tasks.
• Report observations and care information to supervisors.
• Support ongoing care plans and assess changes in daily routines.
• Contribute to standards of care formulation and evaluation.
• Identify staff educational needs and participate in training.
• Maintain professional conduct per facility policies.
• Observe safety, tidy rooms, and manage linens as needed.
• Encourage activity participation and document resident involvement.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests.
• Assist with dietary duties, including meals and clean-up.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Nursing Assistant certification preferred

CPR and First Aid certification

Ability to read, speak, and write English

Job description

Summary of Responsibility:

Provides routine daily nursing care and services that support the care delivered to residents
requiring long-term or rehabilitative care, in accordance with the established nursing care
procedures and as directed by the supervisor. Position will work 2pm to 10pm on a rotation of 4 days on and 2 off.

Duties:

1. Assists the resident in any daily routines, any personal care and housekeeping tasks that the resident needs assistance in performing.
2. Reports observations and other pertinent information related to the care of the resident.
3. Provides services that support the care delivered to the resident and daily review care plans to determine ID changes in the daily care routine have been made.
4. Provides input in the formulation and evaluation of standards of care.
5. Participates in the identification of staff educational needs.
6. Conducts self in a professional manner in compliance with unit facility policies.
7. Surveys for safety and picks up resident’s room each day. Removes all soiled linens from rooms. Bed linens, towels and wash cloths are to be changed once a week or as necessary.
8. Assists with Activity Participation including encouragement of residents to participate, leading and performing activity programs, and documentation of residents participation.
9. Ensures that all resident call lights are promptly answered, followed by appropriate responses to requests.
10. Assists with dietary responsibilities, including serving meals and cleaning meal area, as needed.
11. Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information.
12. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or the Executive Director.

Education and Experience:
