Job summary

Sevita is seeking a Somerset caregiver / direct support professional to help individuals with developmental disabilities live well, grow personally, and participate in the community.

Part-time and PRN shifts include overnight and weekend hours; pay is $14.50 per hour, with paid orientation and benefits for eligible staff. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle, plus a willingness to work varied hours.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, if under 21 years of age.
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Valid Driver's license - 1+ years (intermediate time not included).

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support individuals with developmental goals and behavioral challenges as needed.
• Provide transportation and accompany participants to activities and appointments.

SOMERSET CAREGIVER / DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

Pay: $14.50/hour

Schedule Available

Part-time & PRN: (Must work Wed 12am-8am=8hours/On Call (min 10 hours/month)

Please Read The Requirements Carefully

Must have a valid full Driver's License for at least 12 months after receiving your permit/intermediate and reliable vehicle with insurance and registration used to transport clients

Must be available to attend 2 week of paid orientation Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Please Note

We do not offer traditional Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedules. Shifts are based on client needs and may include: 16-hour overnight shifts (4:00 PM – 8:00 AM), Weekend shifts (Saturday and/or Sunday), Varying hours depending on staffing needs
