Job summary

D&S Community Services, part of Sevita, is hiring a caregiver in Columbus, OH. Role focuses on supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings, with weekend shifts and a full benefits package for full-time staff.

You will work closely with participants to promote independence, health, and community participation, while meeting safety and documentation standards. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Evidence of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months of experience with intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance proof are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and help participants grow, learn, and live well.
• Build real, meaningful relationships with individuals served.
• Take initiative to help participants engage with the community and activities.
• Assist participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.

Hire wage is $17 hourly

This position requires someone who has had a Drivers License for at least 1 year (post permit) and a clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy.

Proof of full coverage vehicle insurance and reliable personal vehicle is required.

Positions include weekend shifts as scheduled

Every other Saturday 1p-11p , Every other Sunday 9a-5, Monday 9a-6p, Wednesday 1p-8p, Friday 5p-11p, Every other Saturday 1p-8p

What You’ll Bring To Sevita

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent , proof of education is required
• Age Requirement: Minimum 18yrs of age
• Experience: Six months of experience Intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health preferred
