Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one non-medical in-home care for seniors who wish to age in place.

You will support daily living activities, offer companionship, and help with transportation and light housework, in a respectful and empathetic setting. Training, advancement opportunities, and flexible shifts are available.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required, but CNA/HHA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with dementia/Alzheimer's care is a plus.
• Daily access to email, internet, and a mobile phone.
• TB test required (per Indiana state guidelines).
• Must be physically able to lift approximately 25 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship and companionship-based activities.
• Assist with daily living tasks (feeding, personal care, grooming, hygiene, light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep).
• Transport clients to appointments and social activities.
• Offer standby assistance with transfers and ensure overnight safety when needed.

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship


• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed


• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings


• Standby assistance with transfers


• Overnight safety assistance

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred


• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus


• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone


• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)


• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.


• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
