Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. in Santa Barbara is hiring a Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to support clients with daily living activities and mobility needs.

You will perform health-related tasks, assist with personal care, transfers, and provide companionship as part of a patient-centered care plan. The role requires compassion, good communication, and the ability to coordinate care between home, school or community resources.

Qualifications

• 1 year relevant experience preferred in home care or healthcare settings.
• Ability to coordinate between home, school, local health agencies, and community resources.
• Must report changes in client status per care plan; strong communication with supervisors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons needing help with daily activities.
• Performs health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and related support.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation.
• Performs incidental household services integral to a personal care plan.
• Provides companionship and engages client in activities.
• Supports client in developing independent self-care skills.
• Reports changes in client status as directed by care plan.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Maxim Healthcare is hiring for a Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to provide support services to assist clients with personal,physical mobility and therapeutic care needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and other related support services essential to the client’s health
• Assists with transfers and ambulation
• Performs incidental household services that are an integral part of a personal care plan
• Provides companionship by reading, listening and talking with client
• Assists client in the development of independent skills through self-care activities such as toileting, clothing routines and personal hygiene
• Appropriately reports changes in client status or as directed by care plan
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Requirements:

• State licensure or certification as required by state and/or program
• One (1) year relevant experience preferred
• Current BLS Card
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Knowledge of child growth and development
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate services between the home, school,local health agency, and other community resources
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to,supervisors, co-workers, clients) viastrong communicationskills; proficiency inthe English language may berequired
• Computer proficiency required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
