Job summary

AmeriCare San Francisco is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team in San Francisco. The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide multiple levels of support to clients.

We offer varied hours, including evenings and weekends, with an hourly rate of $30 for the listed shifts. This role focuses on one-on-one home care in a family-owned SF franchise that values training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or in-home care (min 1 year).
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent; caregiver experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility inside and outside the home (appointments, walks).
• Plan and prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and shopping assistance as needed.
• Report incidents promptly and assist in emergencies.

13 Weekly Hours Available Starting Immediately

• 6 Weekly Hours - Male in SF
  • Monday: 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Thursday: 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Hourly Rate: $30/hour
• 7 Weekly Hours - Male in SF
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • NOTE: He is very flexible with days and start times - essentially, he is looking for care 2 days a week for 3 hours in the morning one day and 4 hours the other.
  • Hourly Rate: $30/hour

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
