Job summary

Home Instead of St. George is seeking compassionate individuals to support seniors in their homes. You will provide companionship, personal care, and assist with daily routines under a care plan, with paid training and the chance to grow in a trusted local company.

Shifts include mornings and evenings, offering flexible scheduling and mileage reimbursement where applicable. No caregiving experience? You can learn and build valuable skills while making a meaningful difference in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist with wheelchair mobility and safe transfers.
• Provide personal care such as toileting, bathing, dressing.
• Meal preparation and medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and observation of changes.
• Follow care plans and communicate with the office.

Current Shifts

• Morning: 6:00 AM-12:00 PM
• Evening: 5:00 PM-9:00 PM
• Consistent, dependable availability is important

What You'll Be Helping With

• Wheelchair mobility and safe transfers
• Toileting, personal care, and incontinence care
• Bathing and dressing assistance
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Light exercises and activities
• Light household tasks
• Companionship and conversation
• Observing changes in condition and communicating concerns

About The Care Needs

The client uses a wheelchair for mobility and does not walk independently. She is able to stand and pivot with assistance for short periods and needs hands‑on support during transfers and standing activities.

Experience with wheelchair transfers, gait belts, or hands‑on personal care is helpful, but it isn't required to apply.

We're looking for someone who is patient, dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable following a care plan.
