Job summary

Assisting Hands of St George is seeking weekend caregivers to provide personal care, companionship, and practical support in clients' homes in Saint George, UT. You’ll assist with bathing, mobility, meals, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation, helping clients stay safe and independent.

Experience isn’t required, though CPR/First Aid is a plus. We offer training, ongoing development, flexible schedules, and a supportive team that values what you do every day.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Responsible, mature, and dependable.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks).
• Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and good driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks).
• Previous home care or long-term care experience preferred — not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Helping with mobility and safe transfers.
• Meal preparation and nutritional support.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Documenting care using our AxisCare app.
• Following all safety and infection-control policies.
