Job summary

Right at Home of Southern Arizona is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join our professional team. Pay is $16.00-$18.00 per hour, with benefits including training provided and flexible scheduling.

You will assist veterans and older adults with daily activities, transportation, meal prep, and light housekeeping to help them live independently at home. Qualifications include strong English communication, a valid driver’s license, and a caring, compassionate attitude.

Qualifications

• No formal caregiving experience required; training provided.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own insured vehicle.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Run errands or accompany to medical appointments.
• Light housekeeping.
• Medication reminders.
• Assist with range of motion exercises.
• Measure and prepare special diets.
• Understand dementia care.
• Incontinence care.

Caregiver Responsibilities and Duties

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living (ADL's):

• Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Eating
• Dressing/Grooming
• Prepares meals and snacks
• Accompany clients on errands or medical appointments.
• Light Housekeeping

Performs client-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home Care Manager or Nurse:

• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Understanding dementia care
• Incontinence care

Caregiver Qualifications and Skills:

• Compassion and concern for veterans and older adults!
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have your own insured automobile.
