Job summary

Mentor Community Services, part of Sevita, is seeking a Direct Support Professional Mobile in California to provide community-based support and assist with daily living skills. The role involves transportation, medication assistance, and helping individuals live as independently as possible.

Based in Roseville, the position offers full/part-time schedules with a competitive benefits package. A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance are required, along with background checks clearance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Six months of experience in human services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Successful clearance of background checks.
• Reliable, compassionate attitude and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Transport and support in the community: outings, medical appointments, and shopping.
• Assist with daily living skills including meal preparation and medication administration.
• Provide guidance on developmental goals: community participation, budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities.
• Support individuals with living skills such as personal hygiene, grooming, bathing and toileting.
• Assist individuals to redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors.

Direct Support Professional Mobile

Based in community settings, within a program, and working closely with our clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans, DSPs provide assistance and strategies to the individuals we serve to live as independently as possible.

• Transportation and support out in the community: outings/field trips, medical appointments, and shopping
• Assist with daily living skills including meal preparation and assist with medication administration
• Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and supporting vocational responsibilities
• Support persons served with living skills such as personal hygiene, grooming, and/or bathing and toileting
• Assist individuals we serve to redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors
