Job summary

NeuroRestorative, a part of Sevita, provides rehabilitation services for people with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries. The Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver role supports residents with daily living, safety, and independence in residential and community settings. Shifts are Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M.

with on-call availability. Compensation is $21.00 per hour. You will assist with ADLs, medication administration, housekeeping, and meticulous charting

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Six months to one year of experience in the human services field.
  • Valid Driver's License from state of residence.
  • Must be minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Successful clearance of background checks.
  • Caring attitude with dedication to assisting others.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including toileting, bathing, and medication assistance.
  • Maintaining the facility environment through housekeeping tasks (laundry, sweeping, mopping).
  • Conducting overnight resident observations and safety checks.
  • Ensuring accurate charting and clinical documentation of resident status.
  • Provide training, assistance and supervision to individuals receiving care in living skills and therapies.
  • Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration.
  • Facilitate relationships between employers and individuals served, and support community involvement with outings or transportation.

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver

NOC Shift

  • Schedule: Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M., with availability to be on call.

  • Compensation: $21.00 per hour.

  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the working relationships between employers and individuals served, and support community involvement by accompanying them on outings, or providing transportation to work or other activities.

  • Work closely with our clinical staff to support the therapeutic and behavioral plans in place.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Six months to one year of experience in the human services field

  • Valid Driver's License from state of residence

  • Must be minimum of 21 years of age

  • Successful clearance of background checks

  • A caring attitude with a dedication to assisting others
