Job summary

Anam Memory Care in Rockford, IL seeks a compassionate Caregiver/Resident Care Assistant to support residents with daily living activities and promote dignity, safety, and meaningful engagement in a warm, homelike setting.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor wellbeing, document observations, participate in life enrichment, and help with admissions, discharges, and routine tasks as part of a supportive care team.

Qualifications

• Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or similar care settings.
• Experience working with individuals with dementia or older adults.
• Knowledge of healthcare practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): dressing, hygiene, bathing, toileting, eating, mobility, and more
• Support instrumental ADLs: housekeeping, laundry, personal belongings, and telephone use
• Monitor resident safety and overall well-being
• Document important health and behavioral observations
• Participate in life enrichment activities alongside residents and Life Enrichment staff
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Complete light administrative and supply-related tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
