Job summary

ComForCare Home Care of Truckee Meadows is hiring compassionate caregivers to help seniors and adults stay safe and independent at home in the Truckee Meadows area. Part-time and full-time hours are available with daytime, evening, and weekend shifts to match your availability.

We provide paid training and a supportive office that answers calls, with opportunities for advancement and flexible scheduling. You’ll learn practical skills for casa visits, including safety and client communication.

Qualifications

• A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check and TB screening.
• Willingness to complete required state training before your first independent shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent in their own homes.
• Provide assistance with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Handle meal planning, preparation, and feeding.
• Help manage household needs, such as light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
• Provide companionship and respite for the family.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition to the office.

What we are looking for

• A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible
• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check and TB screening
• Willingness to complete required state training before your first independent shift (provided by us)
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance
• Comfortable using a smartphone app to clock in and out of visits

What you will be doing

• Assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent in their own homes
• Provide assistance with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility and transfers
• Handle meal planning, preparation, and feeding
• Help manage household needs, such as light housekeeping, laundry, and errands
• Provide companionship and respite for the family
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition to the office

Pay

$19/hr, up to $21/hr for clients needing full, hands-on help with bathing, toileting, and transfers.

Schedule

Flexible shifts are available, including weekday days, evenings, and weekends. We offer part-time and full-time hours and build your schedule around your availability.
