Job summary

Columbia Place in Portland, OR is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our healthcare team. You will provide hands-on daily living support, assist with meals, mobility, and safety, while building meaningful connections with residents and families.

We welcome dedicated individuals; training is provided. Must be 18+, able to lift 25 lbs, pass screenings, and hold CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs and perform caregiving tasks.
• Pass background screening and health requirements.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Assist residents with meals and hydration, including after-meal care
• Help keep residents safe and comfortable, always observing and reporting changes
• Maintain a clean, warm, and welcoming environment
• Support residents during move-ins, appointments, and community activities
• Protect resident privacy and follow HIPAA and safety standards
• Work closely with nurses and fellow team members to meet individual care needs
• Build meaningful connections with residents and their families
