Village Caregiving in Paducah, KY is hiring a compassionate caregiver to assist clients with daily living activities, medication reminders, mobility, personal care, light housekeeping and meal preparation. You will coordinate with nurses, doctors and family to follow treatment plans and ensure client safety.

The role requires CPR certification, adherence to health and safety standards, excellent communication and time management, and a respectful bedside manner.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and document observations.

Responsabilités

• Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended home exercises.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required




• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification

• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner




• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills




• Physical endurance to complete required tasks




• High school diploma or equivalent
