Job summary

Village Caregiving - Paducah, KY is seeking a committed caregiver to support clients in daily living activities, mobility, personal care, and medication reminders. The role involves assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and accompanying clients to appointments.

Responsibilities

• Remind clients to take prescribed medications as directed.

• Support rehabilitation exercises and prescribed physical therapy.
• Assist with shopping or accompany clients to appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation considering dietary needs.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Remind clients to take prescribed medication

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene

• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises

• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed

• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals

• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required

• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification

• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints

• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner

• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills

• Physical endurance to complete required tasks

• High school diploma or equivalent
