Job summary

Garden Spot Village is seeking a dedicated Caregiver for in-home care. You will support clients with personal care, daily routines, and light household tasks, enhancing safety, comfort, and independence in their own homes. Training is provided, and weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Driver’s License required
• No experience necessary; training will be provided
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire)
• Commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Ability to align with Garden Spot Village At Home mission and philosophy
• Treat clients and colleagues with dignity and respect
• May include weekends, evenings, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care as contracted, including bathing, continence care, oral hygiene, hair grooming, dressing, shaving and nail care
• Assist clients with daily routines, home environment, meal preparation and feeding
• Assist with appointment scheduling and reminders as listed in the care plan
• Follow established care plans and safety procedures to support client safety and independence
• Maintain a positive, dependable presence and be punctual
• Report any unusual observations to the Coordinator of GSV At Home or Assistant Coordinator/Scheduler
• Attend all required training and in-services related to the position
• Answer phones and assist clients with calls
• Collaborate with clients and families to meet care plan goals
• Uphold policies, codes of conduct, and Residents’ Rights standards

As a Caregiver with Garden Spot Village at Home, you’ll build meaningful connections while helping clients with personal care, daily routines, and agreed-upon household tasks. Through a helping hand, a friendly conversation, and compassionate care, you’ll support each client’s safety, independence, and comfort while making every day a little easier and more enjoyable.

What You’ll Do

• Comply with established policies, procedures, and standards, including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct
• Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times
• Maintain a positive attitude and uphold standards of good caregiving practice
• Assist clients in a manner conducive to their safety, comfort, and independence
• Report any unusual observations or conditions to the Coordinator of GSV At Home or Assistant Coordinator/Scheduler
• Practice safety for self and clients and report any unsafe conditions
• Follow the established care plan for each assigned client
• Assist, as contracted, with clients’ personal possessions, home environment, meal preparation and feeding, appointment scheduling and reminders, and other services listed in the care plan
• Provide personal care as contracted, including assistance with bathing, continence care, oral hygiene, hair grooming, dressing, shaving, and nail care
• Demonstrate dependability and punctuality by coming to work as scheduled
• Attend all in-services and training sessions relevant to the position
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Answer the telephone and assist clients with calls

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred
