Garden View Place is seeking Caregivers to provide exceptional care and support to residents in our senior living communities. If you love helping others and want to be part of a mission-driven team, you’ll fit right in.

You’ll deliver compassionate resident care, assist with activities of daily living, and collaborate with nurses and dining staff to create a safe, engaging environment that reflects our values of hospitality, stewardship, integrity, respect, and humor.

Qualifications

• Experience as caregiver, home health aide, or personal care assistant preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and flexible with weekend/holiday shifts.
• Ability to provide care with kindness, patience, and respect for residents' dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents during meals and activities with comfort and dignity.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights to ensure safety.
• Assist with transfers and maintain a clean, organized living environment.
• Monitor residents’ health and report changes to nursing staff.
• Collaborate with nurses and dining staff to coordinate holistic care.
• Attend team meetings and trainings to stay current on care practices.

What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers)

Deliver Compassionate Resident Care:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents during mealtimes, recreational activities, and daily routines, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights, ensuring safety and attentiveness at all times.

Support a Safe & Healthy Environment:

• Assist with transferring and positioning residents, using proper safety techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
• Monitor residents’ health and behavior, and report any changes or concerns to nursing or leadership staff.

Promote Engagement & Well-Being:

• Build positive, supportive relationships with residents and families.
• Encourage resident participation in social and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.
• Uphold the mission, values, and care standards of Health Dimensions Group in all interactions.

Collaborate with Team Members:

• Work alongside nurses, dining, and life enrichment staff to coordinate and deliver holistic care.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay current on care practices and community updates.

What You Bring to the Table (Besides Your Big Heart)

Experience & Training:

• Prior experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or personal care assistant preferred, but not required.

Skills & Qualities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to provide care with kindness, patience, and respect for residents' dignity and independence.
• Dependable and flexible with shift availability (including weekends or holidays as needed).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and move throughout the shift.
• Able to assist with resident transfers and physical support using proper techniques.
