Job summary

Legacy Concierge is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide non-medical, one-on-one in-home care for a single client during long shifts in California. You will support activities of daily living, document care, and maintain open communication with the care team.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of caregiving experience, hold a CA Registered Home Care Aide credential, and can uphold HIPAA standards while delivering patient and family–centered care.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional caregiving experience or equivalent.
• Registered Home Care Aide in good standing (California).
• Proof of negative TB test or chest X-ray.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 non-medical care in the client’s home, supporting ADLs and IADLs.
• Assist with personal care, transfers, bathing, dressing, incontinence care, reminders.
• Complete daily care notes using agency systems.
• Communicate changes in client status to RN Care Ambassador or coordination team.
• Maintain reliable schedule and communicate scheduling changes.
• Demonstrate Legacy Concierge’s client-centered care principles.
• Comply with HIPAA policies and procedures.

Pay Rate: $25 Hourly

Job Summary

Join our team at Legacy Concierge and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. As a Caregiver, you will provide dedicated, one-on-one care to a single client at a time in the comfort of their home, typically for an 8-12 hour shift. Our ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and relationship-focused, with a passion for building meaningful connections with clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 personalized non-medical care in the client's home, supporting activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)

• Assist with personal care, transfer assistance, bathing, dressing, incontinence care, medication reminders, and proper hand hygiene

• Complete daily care notes accurately and in a timely manner using agency document systems

• Communicate promptly and consistently with the RN Care Ambassador and/or Client Care Coordination team when there is a change in client status, incident, or general concerns requiring escalation

• Maintain a reliable schedule, arrive on time, and communicate any scheduling changes according to company policy

• Demonstrate Legacy Concierge's core values and client-centered care principles at all times

• Comply with rules and regulations pertaining to client health information, specifically HIPAA's policies and procedures

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience or personal caregiving experience, or equivalent education or clinical hands-on experience

• Registered Home Care Aide in good standing (CA only)

• Proof of negative tuberculosis test/chest x-ray

• Demonstrated ability to work competently in a 1:1 private care environment

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions and ask questions when clarification is needed

• Strong communication, documentation, professionalism, and customer service skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and move for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift, transfer, or reposition patients with appropriate assistive techniques

• Ability to lift or carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds

• Use of technology equipment including tablets, phones, and navigating through WellSky, Learning Management System, etc.

• Ability to safely and confidently use durable medical equipment (DME)

Additional Information

Caregivers provide non-medical companionship care to clients who require supervision due to advanced age, physical disabilities, or cognitive impairments. In addition to offering companionship, caregivers assist clients with activities essential to independent living that they are unable to perform on their own due to health or age-related limitations. Caregivers are responsible for completing appropriate forms and documentation related to client care, maintaining communication with office staff during emergencies, and adhering to rules and regulations regarding client health and medical information.
