Visiting Angels Springfield is seeking caregivers to provide compassionate home care in the Springfield area. The role includes assisting seniors with daily living activities, mobility support, meal preparation, and light housekeeping, while delivering friendly companionship and safety.

Caregivers enjoy a flexible schedule with options for full-time, part-time or PRN shifts, plus benefits like paid orientation and ongoing training to grow their skills in dementia and elder care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Own a vehicle with current insurance.

• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly in emergencies.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
