Job summary

Willow Creek Senior Community in Oregon is seeking a compassionate caregiver to help residents remain comfortable, safe, and independent. You will support daily activities, assist with personal care, and participate in activities while maintaining privacy and dignity.

The position emphasizes teamwork, ongoing training, and strong relationships with residents and families. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs, and to bend, stoop, and twist during hands-on care.
  • Teamwork to assist residents over 100 lbs with a second member or equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Support residents with dementia using patience and gentle redirection.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and track resident locations.
  • Observe changes in mood, appearance, or ability and report to supervisor.
  • Keep resident rooms clean, well lit, and safely arranged.
  • Assist with activities and document basic care activities.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and visitors.
  • Respect residents' emotional, social, cultural, and religious needs.

Caregiver | $19–$23/hr | Willow Creek Senior Community

At Willow Creek Senior Community, our caregivers are the heart of daily life for our residents. You'll help seniors stay comfortable, safe, and independent, and you'll build real relationships with residents and their families. If you're patient, kind, and like knowing your work matters, we'd love to meet you.


What You'll Do


  • Help residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting in a way that protects their comfort, safety, and dignity

  • Support residents living with dementia using patience, gentle redirection, and reassurance

  • Answer call lights promptly and know where your assigned residents are at all times

  • Notice and report changes in a resident's mood, appearance, behavior, or physical ability to the Shift Supervisor or Resident Care Director

  • Keep residents' rooms clean, comfortable, well lit, and safely arranged

  • Help lead activity programs and complete basic care documentation

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and visitors

  • Respect each resident's emotional, social, cultural, and religious needs

  • Protect resident privacy and keep resident and family information confidential

  • Report equipment and supply needs to your supervisor

  • Attend required in-services and trainings, and follow Willow Creek policies and procedures

What You'll Need
