Summary

As a Resident Assistant, you are a key member of our team, enhancing residents' lives by providing consistent, quality care that promotes meaningful living.

Essential Functions

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, mobility)
• Engage residents in conversation, socialization, and activities while providing personal care
• Respond promptly to resident needs and requests, providing or obtaining assistance as needed
• Assist during meal times in the dining room
• Encourage participation in scheduled activities and outings, assisting as needed
• Maintain community cleanliness, including tidying resident rooms and managing laundry per shift guidelines

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting preferred
• Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations
• Ability to pass necessary tests (CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers, etc.) as required by regulations
