Job summary

Sinceri Senior Living is hiring a Resident Assistant to join our community and support residents with daily living activities and personalized care. You will work as part of a caring team to enhance residents' quality of life.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, dining support, and participating in activities while ensuring safety and dignity for residents. Prior experience in senior care is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience with elderly in a residential or long-term care setting preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Able to pass CPR/First Aid/required state tests if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring and mobility.
• Engages residents in meaningful conversation and activities while providing personal care.
• Responds promptly to resident needs and requests for care and provides or obtains assistance as needed.
• Assists in dining room during meal times.
• Encourages participation in scheduled activities and outings and assists with those activities.
• Maintains cleanliness of community by tidying rooms, disposing of trash, and straightening beds.
• Assists with resident laundry per shift guidelines.

Summary:

Essential Functions:

• Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
• Engages residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary
• Assists in the dining room during resident meal times
• Encourages residents to participate in scheduled activities and outings, and assists with those activities as needed
• Assists in the cleanliness of the community, including straightening resident beds, emptying resident garbage, and tidies resident rooms daily and as needed
• Assists with resident laundry per shift guidelines

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long‑term care setting is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members.
• Must be able to perform job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to pass the necessary tests (i.e., CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers, etc.) if required by state regulations.
