Job summary

Waneka Park Assisted Living is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to positively impact residents daily. You will assist with activities of daily living, support stand-by transfers, and provide personal care under supervision to maintain residents’ comfort and dignity.

You will respond to call lights, observe changes in health, and uphold infection control while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Schedule: 6am-6pm; benefits include health coverage, PTO, holidays, and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• First Aid certification from recognized provider (e.g., Red Cross/AHA).
• CPR certification from recognized provider (e.g., Red Cross/AHA).
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and dressing.
• Support residents with stand-by assist transfers.
• Provide quality personal hygiene care to residents.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
• Observe and report any changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing supervisor.
• Apply infection control principles consistently during all care activities.

About the Role:

As a Caregiver, you’ll have the rewarding opportunity to positively impact our residents each day. Working closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and under the guidance of our Health & Wellness Director, you’ll help ensure residents’ comfort, dignity, and well-being while contributing to their overall care plan. You’ll also serve as a positive representative of our facility’s commitment to compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and dressing

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Current First Aid and CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred
