Job summary

BrightStar Care of Sugar Land, West Houston and Katy, TX is seeking Caregivers to join our in-home care team. We offer competitive pay, flexible shifts, and a supportive work environment.

You will provide companionship and daily living assistance to clients in their homes. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid CPR certificate, a negative TB test in the last year, and 1–2 years of caregiving experience or CNA certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid CPR certificate required (in-person class).
• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• 1–2 years caregiving experience or CNA preferred.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance with reliable vehicle.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing and transfers.
• Escort clients to groceries, appointments and pharmacy visits.
• Support mobility and document changes to the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
• Accompany clients to the grocery store, doctor appointments and pharmacy visits
• Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid CPR Certificate (in-person class)
• Negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
• Minimum 1-2 years experience as a caregiver or CNA
• Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance with reliable vehicle
• Adhere to HIPPA and maintain client confidentiality
• Must be eligible status on AHCA level 2 background
• Negative drug screen and motor vehicle background screening
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

We are strongly considering candidates with experience as a CNA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide/Assistant, or similar positions.
