Job summary

FAMILY PRESERVATION SERVICES on Johns Island is seeking caregivers to join our home care family with a dementia focus. This position offers about 9 hours per week with a flexible schedule to help clients remain safely in their own homes.

As a Caregiver you will provide personal care and homemaker services, offer companionship, assist with medications under RN supervision, and apply memory care planning to support clients in daily living.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least six months experience as a Caregiver or CNA/HHA in healthcare.
• Memory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, grooming, mobility support, and homemaker services per care plan.
• Offer companionship and memory care support, and assist with medications under RN supervision.

Looking for caregivers to join our home care family, dementia focus

Specific need: Johns Island, 9 hours/ week, ams flexible schedule

Job Summary: The Caregiver provides clients various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.

Essential Functions:

• Personal Care
  • Provide assistance with: bathing, dressing, grooming, nail /skin care, back care, foot care, shampoo, oral hygiene, ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheel chair, walker, crutches, cane), change of position, with toileting, commode, incontinent care, meal planning, preparation, and assistance with feeding
• Companion/Sitter/Household Management
  • Provide companionship and respite services for family
  • Perform homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms
• Medication Assistance Services (with RN supervision and delegation)
• Memory care- This client requires memory care specialized planning and care. We provide training on memory care before matches are made.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

• High school graduate or G.E.D certificate.
• At least six months experience as a Caregiver or CNA/HHA in healthcare (in homes or facilities)
• Memory care experience
