Job summary

BrightStar Care in Jefferson County, WI is hiring CNAs and Caregivers. As a Caregiver, a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will provide personal care services including hygiene, meal prep, taking vitals, and assistance with activities.

We offer weekly pay with direct deposit, flexible scheduling including weekends and evenings, and opportunities for career growth. A valid CPR certification is preferred and we will help you get certified if needed.

Qualifications

• Active CPR certification preferred; the employer helps you obtain it if needed.
• Caregiving experience in home health is a plus.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygiene care such as bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, and light housekeeping.
• Prepare and serve meals according to the client’s diet plan.
• Take and record vital signs and track height/weight as needed.
• Assist with range of motion and document changes to the Director of Nursing.
• Assist with walking and transportation to appointments and outings.
• Maintain a safe home environment and respect client rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide client with hygiene care as directed including, but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, feeding, linen changes and light housekeeping
• Prepare and administer meals according to client’s diet
• Take and record vital signs, as well as height and weight, if necessary
• Assist client in active and passive range of motion defined by the plan of care, document observed changes and report any changes to the Director of Nursing
• Assist client in walking and transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities and shopping
• Develop and promote a safe environment for quality client care through adherence to established policies, procedures and standards
• Ensure client’s rights are adhered to

Skills & Qualifications

• Licensed driver with reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with the organization’s requirements
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
• Ability to travel up to 30 minutes as needed for client care service needs as well as staff and business needs including job required training and conferences.
