Timber Ridge at Talus in Issaquah, WA is seeking TRAIL Caregivers for our new TRAIL program. You will provide personal care and support to residents in their homes, following a care plan and collaborating with the care team to maintain comfort, dignity, and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience as a home care aide or personal care aide with a current CNA/HCA/NAR.
• First Aid and CPR certified.
• Food Handlers certification.
• Experience with cognitive decline or dementia preferred.
• Fluent in both verbal and written English.
• Professional and high ethical standards.
• Communicates effectively and builds positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Follows the home care plan of care developed by the agency.
• Assists clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
• Performs household services essential to safety and care (laundry, meals, housekeeping, transportation, shopping).
• Observes and reports changes in clients’ condition; may assist with medications as indicated in the plan.
• Notifies administrator of changes in mental or physical condition and needs.
• Respects client rights, beliefs, cultures, and preferences.

NAR/NAC/HCA $23-$25 DOE

We are currently seeking Caregivers for our newly created TRAIL program. TRAIL stands for Timber Ridge Assistance in Living. It is a newly licensed Home Care Agency. General Summary

The TRAIL Caregivers provide personal care and household assistance to clients in their own residence. The clients work under the supervision of the Administrator, Home Care Supervisor, or designee and is assigned specific tasks through the home care plan of care.

Essential Job Duties

• Follows the home care plan of care developed by the agency.
• Assists clients with personal care, which may include bathing, shampooing, shaving, toileting, dressing, transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
• Performs household services essential to the client’s safety and care including laundry, meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation, and shopping.
• Performs only the tasks assigned in the home care plan of care for clients and observes, documents, and reports any changes in the clients’ condition. May assist with medications as indicated in the home care plan of care, and agency policy.
• Reports to the Administrator or designee any changes in the clients mental or physical condition as well as changes in the client’s need for care.
• Follows agencies policies and procedures.
• Respects the rights of clients, families, or client representatives to have different beliefs, opinions, cultures, and customs.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to see, hear and communicate effectively with residents and staff. May be required to work up to two weekends per month. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting. May be exposed to blood and body fluids which may contain HIV and/or HBV. Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair, gerichair, or shower chair, pushing up to 150 pounds unassisted. Must be able to transfer, life, turn, and position a resident weighing over 125 pounds. Must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, squat, stand, and walk for up to 90% of the workday. May be subjected to offensive odors and/or combative behavior. Must be able to reach up to a level of six feet.
