Job summary

Visiting Angels Humble is seeking a caring caregiver to join our Northeast Houston area team, providing companionship and in-home care to seniors. You will assist with daily activities, mobility, meal preparation, and transportation, while delivering compassionate support in clients' homes.

We offer opportunities for growth through advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer's care, with emphasis on safety, ethics, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong care and emergency response knowledge beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
