Job summary

Senior Helpers Honolulu is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers for part-time in the communities we serve in the Honolulu area. Start date is immediate with compensation starting at $18–$21 per hour.

We offer paid training, flexible hours, and a supportive team environment focused on improving clients’ quality of life. Locations served include Aiea, Pearl City, Mililani, Airport areas, Honolulu, and more, with travel time pay and mileage reimbursement between shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of caregiver experience, professionally or with family.
• CNA license preferred.
• Background check & drug screen required.
• Able to perform physical tasks & lift up to 50lbs.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with dressing, grooming and bathing.
• Share coffee and conversation to build rapport.
• Prepare light breakfast and ensure hydration.
• Medication reminders.
• Assist with safe mobility and transfers.
• Light housekeeping to keep things tidy.
• Run errands as needed.
• Monitor client well-being and report concerns.

A Typical Morning Might Include:

• Helping a client start their day with ease - assistance with dressing, grooming, and bathing
• Sharing a cup of coffee and some friendly conversation
• Preparing a light breakfast and making sure hydration is on track
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with safe mobility & transfers
• Light housekeeping to keep things tidy
• Running errands
• Keeping an eye on the overall well-being and condition of client and communicate any concerns

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of caregiver experience, professionally or with family. CNA license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of background check & drug screen
• Able to perform physical tasks & lift up to 50lbs
• Reliable transportation required
