Job summary

Safe and Sound Home Care in Oxford, MS is seeking dedicated, energetic, ethical caregivers for private duty care in the Oxford area. Our family-owned team provides one-on-one support to help elderly and disabled clients live safely and independently at home.

You will assist with personal hygiene, mobility, meals, medications, and light housekeeping, and report any changes promptly. A valid driver’s license and compassionate approach are required; prior caregiving experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Provide compassionate, one-on-one care to clients.
• 1 year of healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries or injuries.
• Help clients take prescribed medications and assist with ambulation.
• Assist mobility around the house or outside for appointments or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Complete client shopping or accompany shopping.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report unusual incidents and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Offer activities essential for daily living and assist with meals and related tasks.

This position is for private duty care in the Oxford, MS area. Safe and Sound Home Care is a family-owned business dedicated to helping the elderly and disabled live safely and independently at home. Our proffessional care givers work one-on-one to assist clients with a variety, including personal hygiene care, great companionship, meals, nutritions and much more. We are looking for dedicated, entergetic, ethical care givers to join our team!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• provide personal care hygiene assitance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, enjuries or accidents by tending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist ambulaton
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointment, walks etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client shopping or go with them.
• Perform house keeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly incase of an emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with meal, includig serving and other tasks if neccessary

QUALIFICATIONS

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve in continuously learn new skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce help in safety standards
• High school diplmoma or equivalent/experience as a Caregiver.
• Take pride in high quality care
