Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring and seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients at home across Connecticut. You will follow individualized care plans, transport clients to appointments, assist with daily tasks, and provide meaningful companionship.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check. Open availability and prior caregiving experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Support dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities

• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed
