Job summary

Senior Helpers of Southwest Dallas is urgently hiring caregivers to support seniors in their homes. If you have experience in assisted living, home care, or healthcare, you’ll help provide compassionate, in-home care and improve quality of life for clients.

As a caregiver, you’ll assist with ADLs, provide companionship, perform light household tasks, plan meals, assist with transportation, and remind clients about medications. A flexible schedule and paid training are offered.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate—you enjoy helping others.
• Willingness to learn new skills to best assist your clients.
• Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance or nursing assistance a plus.
• Current valid driver's license and insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as assigned
• Provide companionship and emotional support by engaging in conversation and recreational activities
• Perform light household tasks such as tidying up and laundry assistance
• Meal planning and preparation
• Transportation assistance as needed
• Medication reminders to the client
• Administrative functions such as documenting tasks completed and reporting change in client's condition
