Job summary

Senior Helpers of Southwest Dallas is urgently hiring caregivers to support seniors in their homes in the DeSoto, TX area. If you have experience in assisted living, home care, or healthcare, you can join a team dedicated to quality of life.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, transportation support, and medication reminders. A valid driver’s license and insurance are required, with paid training and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for seniors in home or facility.
• Ability to communicate with clients and families.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry assistance.
• Plan and prepare meals for clients.
• Provide transportation assistance as required.
• Give medication reminders as prescribed by caregivers.
• Document tasks completed and report changes in client condition.

If you have experience working in assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, senior living facilities, nursing homes, home care or healthcare, we’d love for you to join our team.

Examples of Job Duties

• Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as assigned
• Provide companionship and emotional support by engaging in conversation and recreational activities
• Perform light household tasks such as tidying up and laundry assistance
• Meal planning and preparation
• Transportation assistance as needed
• Medication reminders to the client
• Administrative functions such as documenting tasks completed and reporting change in client's condition

Examples of Qualifications

• Caring and Compassionate—you enjoy helping others
• Willingness to learn new skills to best assist your clients
• Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance or nursing assistance a Plus!
• Current valid driver's license and insurance required.
