Job summary

Entertimeonline in Crozet, VA is seeking a full-time Caregiver to deliver high-quality care and support to residents in assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. The role involves hands-on care, following PSPs, and maintaining a safe, home-like environment while adhering to policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Reports shift updates in the communication log, ensuring incidents are reported to the med tech/nurse.
• Reports all incidents and accidents to the med tech and/or RCD immediately.
• Notifies executive director or designee of unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Participates in developing Personalized Service Plans as requested by administration.
• Checks residents daily for cleanliness, appropriate clothing, continence, and changes in condition.
• Initiates, assigns, and assists with activities as appropriate.
• Uses proper sanitation procedures and universal precautions.
• Completes daily care tasks per the PSP and resident laundry as scheduled.
• Responds to security system and resident call alarms immediately with appropriate action.
• Completes required trainings and attends staff meetings.
• Promotes a warm professional environment and provides meal service support as assigned.

Description

Provide the highest degree of quality care and services to a consistent group of residents and their families in our assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. This role includes providing hands-on care, physical and emotional support as outlined in each resident’s Personal Service Plan (PSP) while maintaining a safe, comfortable home-like environment. The Caregiver is responsible for demonstrating all elements of wellness, remaining in accordance with federal, state and local standards as well as Twenty /20 Management policies to promote the highest degree of quality care and services to our residents . Caregivers with a CNA endorsement/credential are expected to maintain credentials and follow certification standards along with community policies and expectations. They may also have addition al or enhanced duties assigned accordingly

Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES – Included but not limited to :

• -Reports shift update in communication log ensuring reporting of all incidents to the med tech/nurse
• -Report all incidents and accidents to the med tech and/or RCD immediately
• -Reports all unsafe and hazardous conditions/equipment immediately to the executive director or designee
• -Participate in the development of the Personalized Service Plans as requested by administration
• -Knows and complies with all residents’ rights
• -Checks all assigned residents daily for cleanliness, appropriate clothing, any continence issues, and change in condition
• -Initiates, assigns, and assists with activities as appropriate
• -Uses proper sanitation procedures and universal precautions
• -Checks resident apartments daily for any hazard
• -Completes activities of daily living for assigned residents as per the Personalized Service Plan
• -Completes resident laundry as per schedule
• -Responds to security system and resident call alarms immediately taking appropriate action when responding
• -Complete all training as assigned
• -Complete all state, federal, and company training as assigned
• -Participates in rounds with off going and on coming shifts , including necessary documentation
• -Completes the daily Caregiver assignment in the appropriate platform
• -Clocks in and out as appropriate
• -Follows attendance policy
• -Creates and maintains a warm professional environment
• -Answers phone as appropriate
• -Attend staff meetings as scheduled
• - Serves meals in dining room as assigned
• -Promotes and ensures a pleasant dining experience
• -Assists with dining room set up and clean up
• -Follows resident’s diet as indicated on the Personalized Service Plan
• -Provides room service as needed
• -Must fulfill all duties assigned, to include Life Enrichment & other department support as needed
• - Demonstrate company core values at all times
• -CNAs must follow reporting/documenting and tasks per certification guidelines along with community policy and task assignment
• - Depending on experience and performance standing – may be assigned job lead duties and act as support for peers as needed and may rotate duties with other leads

Must be accurate , dependable, and thorough in all assigned tasks

Ability to prepare for & tolerate exposure to outdoor elements as duties may require

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE :

• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements for senior living services (independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care).
• Honor resident rights and follow all established protocols for care, safety, and service delivery.
• Maintain required education, certifications , and credentials.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Promptly report any incidents or compliance concerns to the appropriate supervisor .
