Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Slidell in Covington, LA is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our in-home care team. This role involves helping clients live safely and comfortably in their own homes in Covington, LA.

You will support daily living activities, provide companionship, assist with light housekeeping and meal prep, and help with medications while adhering to individualized care plans and reporting any health changes to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving, home health, or personal care aide experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor client health and well-being.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands as needed.
• Document and report any changes in client condition to supervisors.
• Follow individualized care plans to ensure consistent, quality care.
