Job summary

ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West in Orinda, CA is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our in-home care team, delivering personalized support that promotes independence and dignity for clients.

You will provide ADLs, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, mobility assistance, and coordinate with families and supervisors. We value reliability, communication, and a heart for helping others.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving, home health aide (HHA), or personal care aide (PCA) experience preferred
• Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a dependable, professional demeanor
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean home environment
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to prevent falls and ensure client safety
• Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
• Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medication reminders

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
