Job summary

Homewatch CareGivers of Lincolnwood is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support clients at home. You will follow a defined care plan, assist with daily living activities, provide personal care, and maintain safety and dignity in every interaction.

The role requires prior home care experience, strong communication, and reliable performance under minimal supervision. You will participate in ongoing training and follow agency policies to ensure high standards of client care.

Qualifications

• 1. Experience as a caregiver in a home care setting or skilled facility.
• 2. Must meet hiring criteria as defined in the agency's minimum standards.
• 3. Function with minimal supervision, maintain professional relationship with client.
• 4. Commit to ongoing skills development and adhere to agency policies.
• 5. Does not administer medication or perform procedures requiring licensed staff.
• 6. Pass all background screening with satisfactory results.
• 7. Must possess effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• 1. Assist clients with personal care needs per care plan and qualifications (CNA/PCP/HHA).
• 2. Assist with activities of daily living safely and beneficially.
• 3. Light housekeeping, meal planning/prep, laundry, dressing assistance.
• 4. Provide safety and companionship to clients.
• 5. Engage meaningfully with friends, family, and the community.

• 3. Must be able to function with minimal supervision, accepting personal responsibility for maintaining a professional relationship with the client.
• 4. Must accept responsibility for maintaining skills and learning on an ongoing basis, as well as adhering to agency policies.
• 5. Does not administer medication or perform any procedures requiring the knowledge or skills of a licensed nurse or registered therapist.
• 6. Must pass all background screening with satisfactory results.
• 7. Must possess effective communication skills.

Major Responsibilities

• 1. Responsible for assisting the agency's clients with their personal care needs in accordance with the care plan and qualifications (CNA/PCP/HHA).
• 2. Responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living in a safe and beneficial manner.
• 3. Responsible for light housekeeping, menu planning, meal preparation and set up, laundry and linen change and provide bathing and dressing assistance

• 5. Responsible to provide meaningful engagement with friends, family and community.
