Job summary

Home Instead in Charlottesville, VA seeks a compassionate Caregiver to support seniors in their home or community. You will assist with daily activities, mobility, personal care, and light housekeeping to promote comfort and independence.

The role offers a starting pay of $17 per hour, paid training, flexible hours, higher pay for nights and weekends, plus health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them while shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.

Job Summary: The Caregiver role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care, such as bathing, eating, and personal hygiene. Caregivers typically work with elderly or disabled individuals in a facility or home care setting.

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them whenthey shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals

Caregiver Requirements:
