Job summary

GlenBrook HC LLC in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a part-time Resident Care Assistant for AM and PM shifts. You will support residents with daily living activities, including dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, and mobility, in a way that preserves autonomy and dignity.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and compassion. Requirements include at least one year of caregiving, ability to work in a healthcare setting, English proficiency, high school diploma, First Aid certification, and eligibility

Qualifications

• At least one year caregiving experience or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a healthcare/CCRC environment.
• Knowledge and practice of safe lifting and back care techniques.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have and maintain a current First Aid card.
• Legally Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Part Time: AM Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm); Saturday, Sunday, and Monday

Part Time: PM Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm)

The Resident Care Assistant performs personal care and non-personal care assistance to residents with activities of daily living in a manner that enhances the resident's sense of personal choice and autonomy.

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
