Job summary

Senior Helpers of Cerritos is hiring compassionate in-home Caregivers to support seniors in their own homes across Cerritos, Artesia, and nearby areas. You’ll help with daily activities, safety, and independence while following care plans and documenting progress.

Preferred candidates have at least 1 year of personal care experience, California HCA registration, a negative TB test, a valid driver’s license, and a reliable vehicle. Flexible hours and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration and Live Scan must be completed before orientation.
• Current negative TB test required.
• At least 1 year of experience assisting adults with personal care, including diaper changes.
• Experience may include caring for a family member, working in a care facility, or providing in-home care.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home care to help clients remain safe, comfortable and independent in their own homes.
• Assist with daily activities and personal care according to care plans.
• Support clients in errands and mobility as needed, promoting dignity and choice.

Requirements

• Complete the California-required Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration and Live Scan fingerprinting prior to orientation.


• Provide a current negative TB test.


• Have at least 1 year of experience assisting adults with personal care, including diaper changes.


• Experience may include caring for a family member, working in a care facility, or providing in-home care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle strongly preferred.


• Many of our clients require transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands.
