Job summary

Senior Helpers of Arcadia is seeking caring individuals to provide one-on-one in-home care, helping clients stay safe and independent while engaging in daily activities.

You will engage clients in conversations, assist with meals and mobility, and document client progress for families. We offer training, flexible scheduling, and a supportive team environment to grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping others.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Able to communicate effectively with clients and families.
• Eligible to be a Home Care Aide (HCA) per CDSS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships.
• Participate in clients’ hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games).
• Prepare meals for clients to enjoy.
• Assist with walking, dressing, and daily activities of living.
• Report activities completed and provide updates on clients’ condition and behavior.

Job Duties: What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrap booking, gardening, games, etc.)
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior

• Proficient in communication methods such as text and email
• Eligible to be a Home Care Aid (HCA) according to California Department of Social Services (CDSS) guidelines
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Bilingual speakers strongly encouraged to apply
